Medical Office Assistant
Alicia’s friendly smile will welcome you to clinic 805. She brings a strong skill set to the clinic, with several years of customer service experience and training in office administration. Alicia is responsible for patient communications, scheduling, and OR booking. With her caring nature, she will assist in making your experience as seamless and as comfortable as possible.
Office Administrative Co-ordinator/Accounts Manager
She is the office administrative co-ordinator, responsible for the human resources and office administrative concerns of Dr. Smith’s practice. Lisa is responsible for patient account management, and often acts as a liaison for patients seeking financing for their procedure.
L.P.N., Post-Operative Care/Surgical Booking
Kate is a Licensed Practical Nurse. She has worked in the healthcare field since graduating from nursing college in 2009. She is licensed with BCCNP and has previously been registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
For the past ten years, Kate has worked as a Practical Nurse. She has experience with long-term care, acute care, home care and cosmetic medicine. Her passion for caring for others is what attracted her to the profession of nursing, and it’s why she continues to work in the field to this day. Kate is responsible for surgical bookings and providing compassionate post-operative care.
R.N., Medical Aesthetic Nurse
Shelley is a registered nurse, licensed under the BCCNP.
Her background includes acute care, community health, dermatology, and plastic surgery settings. Since 2000, she has focused her career as an aesthetic nurse. In 2007, she was certified by Cutera Inc. as a Clinical Applications Trainer for Western Canada. She instructs physicians and nurses on the latest laser safety and Cutera laser treatment protocols.
Shelley believes in customizing individualized injectable, laser skin rejuvenation and skin care programs concentrating on the specific goals of each of her patients. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses, the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, and the Dermatology Nurses Association.
R.N., Medical Aesthetic Nurse
Kathryn has more than 30 yrs of health care experience. For the past 15 yrs, Aesthetic medicine has been her passion. Kathryn integrates clinical expertise and artistic ability to enhance and restore the natural beauty of her clients. She likes to work collaboratively with her clients to meet their rejuvenation goals.
Kathryn obtained her certificate in the Cosmetic Use of Botulinum A Exotoxin from UBC Dermatology in 2001. Since then, she has had extensive experience and training in providing both cosmetic and therapeutic neuromodulator treatments to her clients. She has been injecting dermal fillers since 2003 and has preceptored with many of the top Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons and GP’s across Canada. In addition, she has attended numerous advanced injection technique courses in London, Paris, Monaco, US, and Canada and has worked as a national trainer, teaching Physicians and nurses basic and advanced injection techniques.
Working as a clinical trainer and educator for a leading medical technology distributor for 5 years has provided her with extensive knowledge of many cosmetic lasers, light-based and radiofrequency devices, dermal fillers, and cosmeceuticals.
Kathryn is dedicated to education and has pursued additional degrees and certificates in Business Management, Health Care Administration, Leadership, Cosmetic Chemistry and Fine Art (sculpture and pottery). She is also on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses, who developed national standards of practice for Nurse Injectors in Canada.
R.N., Medical Aesthetic Nurse
Courtney is a Registered Nurse originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. Courtney has been working as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Rooms, and Intensive Care Units throughout Canada since 2013. She is licensed through BCCNP with a certificate from the Emergency Nursing Program. In March 2019, she moved to Victoria to pursue her passion in the medical aesthetic industry and is thrilled to be a part of the Clinic 805 team. Courtney can be found in the non-surgical department as a nurse injector, laser technician and skincare specialist as well as in the recovery room, caring for patients post operatively. Courtney has had the opportunity to undergo training with some of the best nurse injectors in Canada, and has successfully completed an intensive mentorship at the Clinic 805. Courtney is also a member of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses.
Courtney believes in collaborating with her clients to address, enhance and restore their own natural beauty. She is committed to developing customized treatment plans for injectables, laser therapies and skincare that help her clients look and feel their best.
R.N., Surgical Assist/Patient Consultant
Cindy is a registered nurse, licensed under the BCCNP. She has been involved in acute surgical nursing since 1991, specializing in plastic surgery. She has been working alongside Dr. Smith since 1993. She provides surgical assistance in the operating room and post-operative care to patients as needed. As well, Cindy functions in the role of nurse consultant, helping patients learn more about the potential surgical outcomes.
R.N., OR Coordinator/Nurse Manager
Liz is a Registered Nurse, licensed under the BCCNP and has specialized in peri-operative nursing for over 16 years. With acute-care experience from major hospitals in both Toronto and Vancouver, she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience throughout that time. Liz brings an energetic and positive approach to the operating room.
R.N., BScN, Recovery/Pre-Admissions Nurse
Pamela is a registered nurse, licensed under the BCCNP and has been practicing in cosmetic surgery for over a decade. She is our pre-admissions nurse, making sure patients are prepared for surgery. As well, Pamela thoroughly enjoys working in the recovery room, providing friendly, informative care, supporting the patient and their family during the recovery phase.
Her nursing travels in the past, to underdeveloped regions, have provided her with rich experiences which are evidenced in her compassionate ways.
On the non-surgical side, Pamela is actively involved in our skincare laser and scar management program, providing consultation and treatment to patients.
Sterilizing Technician Pat has many years of experience in both the private and public sector (Island Health) as a surgical sterilization technician. She performs a variety of duties including sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies, documentation and quality control follow-up.
